I have to say I agree with a lot of this article. I know that I have a gluten intolerance so eliminating wheat products had a much different effect on my body, but I feel so much better in day to day life without eating nearly as many simple carbs. I think that the key to a healthy diet is to get most of your carbs from veggie sources, and NOT bread, bagels, pasta, etc (which are somehow labeled as necessary for heart health???).
My goal when starting my healthy diet was to get as many veggie and fruits as possible from the widest range of sources, which naturally means the elimination of many simple carbs (even whole wheat sources are "simple" carbs and can spike your blood sugar and cause an inflammation reaction!!). I went from eating pasta two meals a day to replacing that pasta with extra veggies. I have never had more energy at a consistent level in my whole life.
So yes, I think this article makes some excellent points. I'll try to get more of my research on this on here someday! :-)
